Tom Briggs is a massive nerd who is very much in touch with his inner child. This means that his favourite subject is maths, and his favourite way to learn about anything (especially maths) is to play with it until it either breaks, does something weird, or shows him something about the world that he hadn’t realised before. Tom is an experienced maths teacher and freelancer in the world of museum learning who has delivered all sorts of sessions for Potential Plus UK and keeps coming back to do more because he loves it....

Natalie provides specialist support and advice to families of children with high learning potential. She became involved with Potential Plus UK in 2011 after being asked to deliver French sessions for the Greater Manchester Explorers Club. Natalie then quickly realised that she had at least one child all of her own with high learning potential! Her background is in Early Years and language teaching. Natalie presented the introduction to high learning potential session which is available as a video blog on this website and will be acting as a host during the festival....

Andrea Anguera has a masters in the psychology of education and is the Senior Assessor for Potential Plus UK. She also provides training for parents and professionals and has worked with children and families for 20 years. She has two children with high learning potential, both of them with dual or multiple exceptionality. Andrea will be acting as a host and running a session for parents on Executive Function Skills during the festival...

Jeff Forshaw is a Potential Plus UK Ambassador and a Professor of Physics at the University of Manchester. He has co-authored three popular science books with Brian Cox (Universal, The Quantum Universe and Why Does E=mc²?), and co-authored a collection of TEDStudies support materials on particle physics called Physics – the Edge of Knowledge....

Maths educator Bobby Seagull is a Potential Plus UK Ambassador.  Co-presenter of the podcast @MathsAppeal, and of the BBC TV Series Monkman & Seagull’s Genius Guide to Great Britain he is also author of The Life-Changing Magic of Numbers and co-author of The Monkman & Seagull Quiz Book, as well as a regular contributor to Radio Four’s PuzzleForToday and a columnist for the Financial Times. Before moving into education, he was an investment banking trader at Lehman Brothers and Nomura and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from PwC. Bobby is a national Library Champion and an ambassador for the charity National Numeracy, as well as co-founder of the social enterprise OxFizz....
